This sentence has come out of my mouth a million times in the last few months. You see, my maternity leave was over in January and I decided not to return to my full time position as a TV Producer. In order to still have somewhat of a family life, I decided to take a part time job as Department Specialist of General Merchandise... sound fancy?.... it isn't. Ever since then, our lives have been completely different and I have been longing for life, as we once knew it, to return.
I have been holding on to the idea that once we are in our new house, life will be the way it used to be. However, today it dawned on me that normal will never be the same again. Life never stays the same, it's always changing and evolving... sometime for the better and sometimes for the worst. We're just taking it one day at a time.
This is our new normal.
